The HERZOG fully-automatic foundation
machine represents the latest in modern
technology. With this machine, beeswax
foundation is produced in a single operation.
Using a simple casting technique the molten
wax runs from a tank, solidifies and is
embossed as it passes between two
engraved rollers producing a continuous
sheet of wax foundation with sharply defined
cells.
Adjustable rotary cutters cut the embossed sheet
to the required width. An integral guillitone then
cuts the foundation to length. The finished sheets
are automatically stacked on a selfadjusting table.
The cell size of the moulded foundation is 5.4 mm
which corresponds to approximately
800 cells/dm2.
